With all the air pollution outside, we like to think that our homes are safe and contain clean, fresh air.  Since we view our homes as our havens, the last thing we want to think about is that the air in our homes might be causing us to be sick.  This could, in fact, be just what makes us ill. 

There is a new trend going on these days for people to become more eco-friendly.  Many people are taking steps to help reduce their carbon footprint and reduce their effects on the environment.  Families all over the world are making sure to recycle, use less water and be conscientious of where their products come from before they buy, making sure to purchase produce and other goods from closer facilities, which reduces the amount of fuel needed to ship the goods to the store where you buy them. 

Organic cotton, while it seems like a really fantastic eco-option for your clothing, may not be as environmentally friendly as you think.  While organic cotton is wonderful for it’s lack of pesticides and can offer a really soft, silky feel, it still uses a lot of water to grow properly, so it doesn’t quite qualify as sustainable.

With the dipping economy and companies working on flex-schedules and working to do cutbacks, you might want to talk to your boss to see if you can start working from home.  If you do get to work from home, then you’re going to need to have a home office, so if you’re working on building a home office for your current job, or branching out on your own, consider making an eco-friendly home office.
