Eco Friendly JobsAre you looking for a new job?  Whether you’ve found yourself suddenly needing a job because of a lay-off or you just need a change, it may be time to take your career in a whole different direction.  Maybe it’s time to consider an eco friendly job option as the market seems to be popping.  Many people already know that much of the future lies in careers in Environmental Technology, but even if you don’t have a degree in environmental technology degree, you can often get other kinds of eco friendly jobs. Think about it.  You need a job and what could be better than getting a job that also helps the environment?  You can not only learn lots of ways to be eco-friendly, but you can also be making some pretty good money in the mean time.

  • FEA Analytical Engineer:  Located in Kennewick, Washington, the job of an FEA analytical Engineer is to use FEA software to perform structural and thermal analyses, analyze system interface support and engineering and support design review activities.
  • Postdoctoral fellowship in Materials Science and Engineering:  CSIRO Materials Science & Engineering - Australia.  What it is:  A three year Fellowship in Melbourne with a focus on materials for energy, water and environment.  Research includes materials synthesis, measurement of dynamics and prediction of dynamic structure.  Pay range is $69 thousand to $79 thousand plus bonuses.
  • Conservation Crew Leader:  In Richmond, Vermont the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps is looking for a Conservation Crew Leader to supervise work crews, provide educational lessons to high school and college age kids, while building personal responsibility among the Corps members.
  • LED Lighting Sales Consultant:  This job is located in Nassau, Bahamas for a company called Clean Light Green Light.  This company helps other companies to become more eco friendly by replacing high mercury fluorescent light bulbs with mercury free LED lighting.  As a sales consultant, you would be responsible for setting up appointments and selling this lighting to companies.
  • Partnerships Manager/Climate Change Specialist:  The company, Carbonfund.org is located in Silver spring, Maryland and is near Washington D.C.  As a Partnerships Manager/Climate Change Specialist your job would be to focus on the company’s current business relationships and help to grow more business and organizational partnerships.  You will need to be organized and passionate about the environment and building a cleaner tomorrow.

Remember these are just a few “green”, or eco-friendly jobs available right now and, no, you don’t need to be able to relocate.  You can do this search for your area as well as looking all over.  If you are in need of a job, or looking for something new to do, consider an eco friendly job this time.  It is, after all, the wave of the future and you can really be helping to make a difference in the environment.  Experts always agree that you’re only going to be successful if you have a job you truly love.
