I've started this thread for those whose 2009 green goals include energy conservation. Post your ideas, practices, and results from your green actions here.

My own household has begun "sleeping cold," which means we do not use the heater at night, opting instead to stay warm at night with additional blankets.

I strongly agree, My husband is the first one to crank-up that heater if there is a chill in the house.

I'm all for bringing out the blankets to keep extra cozy!

Also too everyone! Turn off your sprinklers. At least turn off the timer. We may recently have had some beautiful summer days here in Cali. Although we do have to keep our lawns green, let's all conserve water! and change our habits and water less!

I've heard that unplugging your tv and stuff at night will drastically reduce your energy bills but... I have to admit.. I have a DVR. It kind of defeats the purpose to turn it off at night when it's supposed to be on recording things for me watch! lol

I'd love to hear suggestions for alternate ways to save.
